Was able to get onto Nickajack with a late start from suck creek. Had some maintenance to do on the boat in the morning, which went 100% smoothly. Everything happened as it should. It was strange, never happens that way, i was convinced i was going to balance it by sinking the boat LOL

We hit the water at 2pm. Ramp was pretty packed. We fished an area neither of have ever been to. Within 10 Minutes Rob had the first LM in the boat and quickly followed it up with another. Both on a swimbait on a new underspin head I just bought. In normal fashion, i managed to leave the other five on the bench before leaving and it was the only one i had. Couldn't get a bite on the scrounger swimbait. Got a couple of bites on the carolina rig, but lost them.

Rigged up a spinnerbait with a 3.8 Swimbait trailer, and started pulling them in left and right. Rob switched over to a spinnerbait too. We put a beating on them all afternoon. Smallmouth and largemouth. Nothing huge, biggest was a 3.4lb smallmouth and Rob got an 8lb drum. Congrats to Rob on his first smallmouth (as well as about 10 others he caught) and his first drum!

Great day. Lost count of how many we caught, off the water at 7:30.

good to see a fishing report here rather than stuff for sale and guys complaining. Thanks

Agreed! So much is focused on the tournament, but non tournament guys like me use the information on how to fish for myself! I'll keep mine coming as i am out on the lake!

I like the pic of the drum not many people show those but they are usually a good fight . By the way smallmouth pic is good also .
