I have a couple and they have been fine... I have the carbonlite version and the signature version. I like them both... I also have Shimano, Aby Garcia and several Lews so I am not brand bias at all. The signature series is the best casting reel I own... an I have a BB1 and a Revo Beast to compare to.

I also have a pro qualifier reel but it has never been used... just bought it on sale as a back up reel.

My dad uses the JM Carbonlites and loves them. They will cast a mile and are smooth. On sale now can't beat the price.

Yes...the CarbonLite for $79.99 and the CarbonLite 2.0 for $99.97 -- both marked down from $119.99.

The signature and elite series are top of the line and comparable to any of the other high end reels. Lews, Revo, and JM reels are all made in the same factory in Korea. The Cheaper Lews and JM come from China.

I have mixed feelings about the carbonlite rods and reels. The reels have served me well. The rods...not so much. I love the pro qualifier reels though. I haven't used any of the signature series reels though.
