How do I get to the rubber upper mount on a 1988 150 johnson without taking the power head off? emoScratch

Sorry to say but the powerhead must be removed mount bolts in with three bolts into mid section

And they are proud of them!!!! National list is $205. I remember seeing someone making solid ones ( all aluminum) for performance. I install a lot of solid mounts on Mercury's they make the engine more rigid and safer to drive at higher speeds. May be a alternative for ya.

emoBang looks like its going to wait till winter. Wrenchin2 can you get me a solid mount for an 88 johnson 150?

I have been checking the net all night and no luck emoBang . The only thing I can think of if you cant find one is make one. emoScratch Thanks for the help!!

They are places that deal with HP applications. They make the mounts for all other OMC. Seeing if the make them for the X-flow.

He hasn't responded to me. Give him a call. His name is Sam Jenkins. 904-730-3332. Ask him if he makes a solid mount for the Crossflows. If not maybe he can direct you. emoToast

175$ for the top and 175 for both bottoms. Sound reasonable? Cheaper than the rubber ones!! I kept his number, he said he makes them and has a few left.
