So I got a 14ft Fisher Jon boat with a 1976 25hp Evinrude outboard. It runs, The boat was operational... but I striped it emoLaugh it had flooring in it, I took it out; it has a trolling motor, depth finder/fish finder, stern and nav light, livewell. It's a really nice setup for a jon boat, Its striped all that's left is the outboard and and the lights. (the livewell in welded into the boat). So, I'm putting a casting deck on the front and in the back a deck to cover up the engine compartment you could say. The back and front bench seat will be covered up by the decks, we are redoing the electrical. Any ideas of what I could do on the boat? Thanks.

I did one a long time ago. I put plywood on the front seat and hinged plywood to the middle seat to make a deck from the front to the middle. The hinge allowed me to use the space underneath for storage. It worked great. That was in 1988 and I still have it. My son used it Friday.

Sweet.

I have a 14' Lowes big jon boat. Just finished the front deck. Having trouble uploading pics or I would put them on here. Send me a PM with your number and I can text them to you. Might help if you haven't already completed the project.

I have a 15ft aluminum bass boat, took out all the wood , and replaced with aluminum, decks and floors all aluminum, and filled the air pockets with structural foam much lighter boat now, and much stronger.. and did it all with scrap aluminum saving me a ton, the foam cost more than the aluminum.
