i have a question i just ordered 2 poles for when i go to destin to deep sea fish. one of them has a loose tip like it will come off, and i got on google and most posts say to hot glue it back on. i did this . will it work for a long time or is this a temp fix? the poles are penn pursuit 9 ft med heavy spinning. i plan on trying to catch sharks. do you think this fix will handle the stress of a shark? also any tips on pier fishing would help alot since i have only been to the ocean 2 times in my life and never fished it. tips on tackle for different fish and all too. i think im goin to be shocked as the biggest fish i ever caught was a 25 # cat and a 22# striper. i dont know but any help is greatly appreciated. thank you for your time and advice emoToast

Hey JR.
I can fix it if you want to bring it buy "Im on my 7 off" or wallymart has rod tip repair kits, that has the tip glue in it,, just hold it over a lighter ,apply some on the rod tip, and slide the tip on while hot... works really good,,,
Puddle...

I concur wit hthe apove about th wally world treatment. Whenever my nie 7 footers get the tip broken off pretty good I will turn it into a 6 ft whatever pole and use it for soemthing else. The tips and glue from walmart seem to work great.

If you cannot get it repaired in time let me know. I have 3 setups that I use for sharks and you are more than welcome to borrow any or all. If you are going down soon you may want to take cobia rod also. Even though the spring migration is over they are still catching them in good numbers.

fixed for now thanks for all the help wally world and tip repair kit worked (for now) pj if it ends up on the down side i will be more than happy to let you have it bro
