Kastking and sixgill

KastKing is ok and it sure won't bust a budget. It also gets good reviews from the BassResource guys. I have a Piscifun which is basically the same as KastKing. A 6:3:1 gear ratio -- 14 ball bearings and cost...$36.00. It works well...I like it. I might have another opinion 6-months from now. These products are made in China but don't tell anyone...shhhh.

I have read some really good reviews about kastking and piscifun. i also read somewhere they were made in the same factory. I want to get one of the $36 dollar kastking reels off ebay. I guess i need to make an order and find out for myself. if you decide to get one please let me know what you think. as far as sixgill goes i have never heard of them

I bought the kastking speed demon and I have no complaints so far. It seemed smooth out of the box and picks up line like no other. I fish buzz frogs/toads almost all year and this reel allows me to keep them on top without as many turns of the handle.
I've used it on about a dozen outings so far this year.(lots of casting this early.. not a lot of strikes but when you do get one it'll usually be a good one)

I looked at other high gear ratio gear reels but some still only pick up 30-33 inches per turn.

I have 2 Citicas and 2 Tatulas this is the first under a $100 reel I've owned so I'm still skeptical on how it will hold up.
However, so far so good!!

i have tried some of the cheaper reels and they got the casting down and everything seems to work fine but the frame is composite and ive had the reel seat bust out on 4 of them. piscifun has some with metal frames and im going to try them out next. the others seem to be fine for low impact stuff but not for frogs of flipping from my experience.
