Anybody installed a keelshield on there boat? Got a new one and gonna try it so any help or hints will be great. Any problems I should look for that have come up during the install or prep work hints that help. Thanks

I've used them for years, but really need them on ALL surfaces of my boat. It's actually pretty simple, just follow the instructions. Be careful to get it lined up with your keel as you get started, and it will go on no problem. Be sure to get the edges pressed down well. You'll love it - no worries when you come into a ramp without a dock!

Not a lot to worry about just read the instructions and measure and then tape off and scuff it up and apply . More goes in to the prep work than anything else. I love my on my boat .Saves a ton of wear on the keel. Good luck emoThumbsup emoThumbsup

Three words: PREPARE THE SURFACE. Follow the directions to the T and you will be fine. I have installed 3 now myself with no probs. The first one I had the dealer installed without prepping properly. It came off in about a month. LOL

Yep follow directions, dont skip or improvise, do just as instructed and all will go fine.. Im a keel shield dealer , Ive installed a bunch in the last month or so

I am glad to hear it is easy. I have one setting in a box in the garage waiting on decent weather so I can install it. It looks like it is fairly straight forward to install.

Well I would say its easy ..lol but as long as you follow directions to the T you will be fine .. help of a friend will make it easier, I charge $65 to install them

An extra set of hands is helpful. Like the others have said...just follow the directions. It's not too hard. It was difficult for me to scratch up a nice clean hull, but in the end you'll love the keelshield.
