I wonder what his first thoughts were as he stepped into hell. A drunk driver who was responsible for a young lady's death and a liar who got his nephew out of a rape charge. And Obama says he is the greatest Congressman of all time. Give me a break.

OK I'll bite: Sen Kennedy was a far from perfect man. But I will remember him simply "as a good decent man, who saw wrong and tried to right it, saw suffering and tried to heal it, saw war and tried to stop it", in 1968. Words he used do describe his brother Robert at his funeral. They fit him as well.

I hope they don't replace him with another meat head like he was.

Doc I would be probably one of the first humans that would fit that category you have so openly put out in that statement. I may not be the best but I was a far cry better then that S-- , you fill in the blanks. I hope he gets to see all his past actions that stumbled over a lot of good people. Not mad but hate to be generalized.

It would take a lot more good than Ted Kennedy ever did to cover up the bad. Nothing decent about a man that supported the wanton slaughter of innocent unborn human life as outspokenly as he did.

Doc - RE: Kennedy you know what they say - money talks and bulls**t walks. The guy (and daddy) obviously had enough money to buy out of anything. Did you also know he was expelled from Harvard for cheating? Yep he had someone take a test for him. That's right until daddy Kennedy sent a nice fat check to the University two years later when he was re-admitted. Read up on some American history and be aware of the REAL truth not just what the equally screwed up media feels like spewing our way. The truth will set you free and the truth is I'm far from a disgrace to the human race! But I will consider the source regarding your uninformed generalization.

Dude we're not debating the rest of the scumbags elected to public office. I'm sure there are more and political party does not matter.

Here is the math:
Scumbag = Scumbag

1 John 1:8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

If a liar, cheater, and drunk that was responsible for sending a young lady to an earlygrave is a nice decent man then maybewe need to open the prison gates and let all the others that are serving time for vehicular homicide out. Do you remember that he didn't even report the accident to the authorities until the next morning?

Did I mention how much he supported abortion.

Ted Kennedy = Cover-up + money. In that order.

It is a disgrace that he held any political office and an even bigger disgrace to hear anyone call him great.

Hell is eternal.

Lots of Judges here. I think that I have read something about judging and being judged. I'm probably taking it "out of context" though. Also I was taught not to speak "ill of the dead". Doc1 was a bit crude, but it's looking like he got it right.

I was taught that if I lied and cheated it wouldn't take long before no one would want me around, much less say anything good about me. If you're agreeing with Doc1 that a lot of us are a disgrace to the human racebecause wedidn't care for TK's deeds thenyou may be the biggestjudge of all.

Here's a few...

John 7:24 (New American Standard Bible) - Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.

Romans 2:3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?

Romans 2:1-3. We should not judge others if we are guilty of the same things. We must first clean up our own lives through repentance
and faith, then we are qualified to judge others.

James 4:11 says that we are not to speak evil of other "brethren" -- those who are
obediently doing the will of God (Mat 12:50). This does not apply to those living in willful sin. Like murdering young women...

Take a look at the verse that is so misquoted today and put it in its proper context. If we are intellectually honest when looking at this passage, we will find that it is actually teaching us to judge, not to refrain from judging!
Mat 7:1-5 "Judge not, that ye be not judged [do not judge others if you do not want to be judged by others; everyone will be judged by God]. For with what judgment ye judge, ye
shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again [if you judge others, they will judge you by the same measures].
And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a
beam is in thine own eye [how can you judge someone when you are guilty of the sin yourself]?
Thou hypocrite [this is the audience in the context; a hypocrite is one who is not living what he is preaching], first cast out the beam out of thine own eye [FIRST
judge yourself and get your own life cleaned up]; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye [THEN after you get your life straight, you will be
able to discern clearly and you are commanded to help clean your brother’s eye!].

God would have loved him enough to forgive him but I sure didn't love him at all.. When the time comes God will forgive me for not liking Ted Kennedy.

Great statement Willard. You are exactly right too. God would forgive TK if TK asked with a repentant heart. Now we do not know whether TK made things right with God or not. Since the man never admitted wrong doing and was never sorry for supporting the murder of babies then it is unlikely.
