Subject: Kidney needed!
Dear Friends
Many of you are already aware that my wife of 48 years is in need of a kidney transplant. Currently she has 16% kidney function in only 1 kidney and if it should drop very much she will be required to go on dialysis. We would like to find a doner before dialysis is necessary as kidney transplant success is much greater in patients that never had to have dialysis. Obviously this would be a huge advantage for her.
This email is my appeal for your assistance in finding a qualified kidney doner.
She has kidney failure and should she have to go onto dialysis her life expectancy is only about 3 years. If she is able to get a transplant she should live a normal life time with the donated kidney. We are praying that the Lord will provide her a kidney from a live doner soon.
You may be interested yourself or you could help us by spreading the word to people so we can find a doner as soon as possible.
There are a few health issues that would prevent anyone becoming a doner................ among them are.......to name a few.
High Blood pressure
Cancer
Kidney Stones
Diabetes
Vanderbilt will not take a kidney unless the doner can make it fine with just 1 kidney and there is absolutely NO EXPENSE AT ALL TO THE DONER. Anyone can sign up and be tested regardless of where you live.
Anyone interested should go onto VANDERBILT web site AT or just call Vanderbilt Hospital. I recommend the web site as it's very easy to do that way. Vanderbilt doesn't tell us who is volunteering so if you want us to know just email or call us please .http://www.vanderbilthealth.com/transplant/29111
We sincerely appreciate your help with this.
