What a morning. Jerry caught a 3 lb. Black Crappie! Weighed it on my UPS scales. We still do not have a ruler on the boat, but the fish was about 3 beer cans long.
I guess I do not need to take him to the training docks anymore. He has graduated to a full blown Crappie Addict!
We blasted off around sunrise and fished the first half of the day. The water temp. was 71* and most of the quality fish came out of deeper water. We caught fish out from under deep water docks and deep water bluffs.
There was not a color that was consistent today. We used BG BS on 1/32 oz, 1/24 oz and 1/16 oz jigs.
We caught 41 Crappie with 23 keepers.
