A friend of mine shared this picture with me. It is from 1974 out of Paris Landing on Kentucky Lake. (l-r) John D. Graham (former TWRA Commissioner) and Billy Phillips with 17 bass. The only reason there aren't 20 is John miscounted (limit was 10 per person). I am told "Billy still lets John D. have it every time we talk about that trip for counting wrong!"

Of course if anybody took a picture like this these days ... even 5 fish per person, they would probably be tarred & feathered.

Burned at the stake, hung by the neck untill dead, given a lethal injection and talked bad about for the rest of time.

On a positive note, those fish were probably not wasted. No doubt, they were eaten. A LOT of folks in those days were fishing for food as much as for the sport.

Tarred and feathered, would be putting it lightly......Your fishing liscense would be re-voked, your boat burned, rods broken and you would loose your boat ramp parking privilages.
