Put in at Grasshopper about 7:30 pm, fished topwater until dark thirty. Them made a move towards the 60 bridge to start my true night fishing. The mayflies were so bad you could not run the main lake. It was like running in rain. If you stopped you were completely covered in bugs. The water was absolutely covered in bugs, at least the main lake was. I was going to head back to Sale creek and hopefully get out of them. Not so lucky. I tucked back in to Grasshopper and it was better but still covered you and everything in the boat. I finally gave up at 11:30, had planned on fishing until at least 2:00. It was a crazy as I have ever seen it. I wussed out. I think I will go the WB tomorrow night and see if I can get out of the bug swarm.
I did pick up a couple of keepers on a whopper plopper, so it was not a total loss.
That is all.
