I've been off for the winter and just now over the past few weeks been checking out the fishing reports again. I just posted one about Guntersville myself. While I've been checking the reports for the past week of so I've noticed a lack of bass fishing reports being posted...An certianly a lack of reports being posted on Guntersville....I saw hundereds and hundereds of bass boats on Guntersville in just the small area we were fishing....

What's been going on lately with the fewer amount of bass reports, and even fewer reports on Guntersville.....Have I missed out on something.

I haven't been on Guntersville since our CFF tournament on 2/23/08.  I would imagine that most folks on this site are focusing on Chickamauga and Nickajack, since both lakes seem to be red hot right now.  There have been a lot of Nickajack reports, especially after our CFF tourney there, and there has been a fair amount on the Chick.  I would imagine tournament season kicking into gear has tightened a few lips.

I usually get my Guntersville fishing reports from Bass Fishing Home Page. I think one reason there hasn't been too many G-ville reports is, not as many from CFF fishing the big G right now. There were quite a few last month. As far as Bass reports in general, who knows. I pretty much have a report 99% of the time, good or bad. I think some of the bass guys are a little too protective at times. JMO.

Gas over three dollars per gallon and the Chick producing some big stringers. I for one have not wanted to pay the gas price to go down there. Would love to run down there and fish it but too high for just messing around.:( Jmax

Gas and the change in licensing for Alabama has had an effect. I lover the lake, but cannot afford to fish it. Plus it gets so crowded on the weekends.
