ha ha, i read this a little late, guess that was you as i was pullin out. so how did you guys do? i just tried to pick up some crappie got about 5 with a total combined lenght of about 16". no joking these things were SAD. choking on the tuffies i had to heimlich em back to life. guess the carp had it all stirred up. i did manage 5 nice channel cat 3-5lbs a reel blast on my ul rod. then hit 3 13,14" bass on the rock on the dam headin out.

I have been down the road close to the high school to like a dirt ramp, is this where you put your boat in? Can we put bass boats in that lake and can we launch at that ramp? I thought it looked good to fish but just didn't know.
Thanks for any help.

That's the right place David. There's no trouble with bass boats just make sure the water is up. The ramp is concrete it just gets gravel and dirt washed down on it. Trolling motor only, you can't even start the gas engine.

Good Luck.

I've fished several night tournaments on the lake the last few years. Don't know of any reason you can't.

It might be best to park on the hill above the ramp for night fishing. Sometimes the local teens like to drop by the ramp in the wee hours of the night and do donuts, slinging gravel and dirt everywhere.

yeah, no issues puttin in a bass boat. i had a 17' center console in. the ramp is solid, but i have had times ive dug a little, and had to put it in 4x. i would be careful if your truck is absent a front axle and driveshaft. i used to have a john boat i would take in the bed of the truck. and I would back in until the bed was under water and float it off, so i can attest to the fact that the ramp has a good firm bottom way back farther than anyone with a trailer would back!
fun lake to fish, the biggest bass ive pulled out was 4lbs and the second biggest was 1.5 but its close to my house. and ive seen more than one 6+ er pulled out. one night last summer, a feller in an allison had 2 that would go over six and another 4+. he just had them in his livewell to refresh em. he turned them loose. its not a pay lake, and no issues fishin it. i just try to pick up a little trash before i leave. i hope we can keep it open for years to come.

anyone else fishing it please post reports
