My dad and I got out the Saturday before Christmas and went smallmouth fishing on Lake Blue Ride. We had a great time. We caught 12 fish total with the biggest fish going 4lbs. The rest were 2lb footballs. We fished one area from 9a.m. - 1:30p.m. and hit the mother load. here are some pics

Where the heck is "Lake Blue Ride?" Great fish. emoThumbsup
And just for future reference, CFF posters typically use the actual "fishing date" in the Subject line rather than the "Posting Date."
Thanks for sharing.

Its approx. 4 miles East of Blue Ridge Ga. Nice lake and some really good fishing if you hit it right! dawgfish you gonna give away all the secrets from home! I know where you was by the pics. Nice fish. What was you catching them on? Oh man I wish I could go back home and fish for a few days. Looks like the lake is still up enough to use the Lakewood ramp and looks like ya'll had a good day.. Thanks for the post ..emoThumbsup

Oh wait a minute... did he mean Lake Blue RIDGE? Or Blue Ridge Lake by my vernacular? Sure... been there. I did a zooplankton analysis of Blue Ridge Lake in my college days.

I thought he meant Blue Ridge, I feel pretty stupid now I've been googling Blue Ride! I bet he just missed the G LOL! Nice fish man that's better than anything I've ever caught out of Blue Ridge

Hey guys sorry about the missing R. LOL! I guess I need to go back to UGA and learn how to spell! Oh well. It was in fact Lake Blue Ridge and I got turned on to it by my father- in -law. It is only about 45 min North of my house so it is relatively close especially for smallmouths! I went to Canada a few years back and did some smallmouth fishing but didn't have any luck. I spent most of my time getting my wife out of trees!emoAngry emoAngry

<font color="#6600ff">Dawgfish,  You might need to explain your last sentence...cause I know enquiring minds will want to know.  Not that I am being nosie, but it did strike up some interest in my mind.
