"Lake" or river?

For me it just depends on if i want to catch largemouths or spots. But then again i live very close to both but i live closer to the river (suckcreek area only few miles from the ramp there). I grew up on the lake part so I've done my share of fishing there but out of it being cheaper i would go to the river just cause it closer. But i love fishing shallow water too so you'll find me up in salecreek alot during the summer time but you will find me in the suckcreek area few days a week from here to next november or december. I can't say i like one better than the other tho, i love both. Just diff styles of fishing involved.

Not too many "pros" on here. emoLaugh But there are some great fisherman, and the beauty of this site is that there is a good mixture of whatever kind of fishing you want to learn about. emoCool I myself,I prepher to fish lake Chickamauga(grew up fishing it), but I know plenty of spots on the river side as well. Now if I just had a boat to get to those spots,it would be all good!!emoBigsmile

I spend more time on the lake because I live on it. I think that if I lived closer to the river I'd learn a lot more about fishing it. I think that the river areas are more consistant than the lake portions in summer and winter. If you watch the posts, the flow is what really concentrates the fish no matter what the season. It's just that the fish have to spawn sometime and they just don't like to "do it" in the current so they find a place out of the current for that.
