I am meeting my wifes cousin from South Georgia to fish Lake Sinclair. He has fished it a couple of times. He belongs to a small fishing club near Waycross Ga. and he asked me to hook up with him, since it was a half way point between Chattanooga and Waycross. Told me that we would try the top water bite in the morning and fish along docks with finnesse and spinnerbaits the remainder of the day. We're going to fish Friday and Saturday.

I am realy looking forward to fishing with him, or for that matter, to be able to fish at all.

I found a site that basicaly confirmed his strategy for the day. I'm open for any suggestions. I'm going to be in the back seat for this trip.

I can't wait. I hope I can get some sleep tonight. I'm bad about being too excited to sleep good, especialy when I've got to get up and leave before 5am. Not looking forward to hitting Atlant traffic around 7pm though.

Well when you come through Atlanta your own your own,who knows how bad it will be.Just dont take 75 all the way into Atlanta and pick up 85,that will be a disaster, take 285 over to I-20.
Now as far as Sinclair goes I was on it Sunday afternoon after church and it was DEAD for me but with this weather it should be on FIRE this weekend. Only place I found any fish Sunday was on rock.any rocks right next to the bank with a trick worm. I will tell you this if you get near any grass, put on a green pumpkin tube or a creature bait with a 3/16 wieght pegged and flip it thoroughly especially if you have grass with any sand or clay around they should be coming fast now. Also I the water up the Oconee is about normal for this year stained, middle part and Little River you can plow and it doesnt clear up until right at the dam and its not much. I will say this,I found water temps to be 68 in Nancy Branch.Hope this helps and if ya'll want to fish nasty water go up little river to double bridges and in between the 2 bridges on the right is a long sandbar and they will stage there and also at the mouth going under the bridge.Hope this helps,I live down here,I am coming to Chatt next weekend myself.Good luck and tight lines. Dwayne

Also I dont know where you are launching, but if you go up the Oconee go into Crooked creek and take a left under the bridge, you'll go about a 1/4 mile and it will make a slight right hand turn on the left theres and old personal ramp and a little grass, make sure and hit it,that whole area is a big spawning flat.As well as when you come into CC go about 300 yards and you'll see some sporadic grass near the shore check it out and then back off into about 10 feet of water and chuck a rattle trap, theres all kinds of grass out there and they were on it last weekend just couldnt make them bite.If you throw any buzzbaits in there, white chartruese with a chartruese blade, chart white Booyah gold willow on the Spinner bait. I know these work for me on there, hope this helps a little.
