Launched at JR's marina this morning at 7:30am Alabama time,
It was 32 degrees with a stronger than expected north wind.
I did not think we would catch a fish until the sun got up and warmed the water for a few hours.
Caught a nice slab on my third cast!
We were casting Kalin's jigs in 5-8 feet of water. The water temp was 54 degrees at the start of the morning, and 57 degrees when we quit.
Caught 21 keepers today, and suprisingly caught most of them early in the morning, in the cold north wind!!
When the weather warmed up around Noon, the wind shifted and was from the SSE........the bite QUIT!!
Fished another four hours until 4:00pm and only caught two fish.
