Largemouth Bass

The Largemouth have been hit and miss on Chickamauga. Will have a good day, and then no fish the next day. What's up? Took my son and a dorm student friend of his today with high expectations, and only landed 1 good fish and a few small fish.

HaHa sounds like a typical day on the Ol Chic. I seem to have that same problem. We caught 15lbs (on a 5 fish limit) one day went back later that week and didn't get a bite out of the same hole. I heard Chester Frost has been producing good numbers this week. I've got a tourn Sat so if you here the good word before then pass it along as I will do the same. P.S.:You have to stay on this lake constantly or get lucky.

I don't believe in luck. I live on Chickamauga and usually you can figure out a workable pattern if you work at it. This time of year can be tough on any lake however because the fish are usually in transition between the spawning areas and the summer time haunts. Sometimes that means that you catch fish everywhere and every pattern works and sometimes it means that if you don't find just the right area, you don't catch much. Give it a few more weeks and they will be on the summertime pattern and it will be much more consistent.
