just wandering if i can make this prop work on my (new to me) boat it has a 150 johnson , but the diameter is a little bit smaller than the one that is on my motor now.... the motor has a 20p prop on it now and thought i would try a little higher pitched prop... probably a stupid question but i know nothing about props.... thanks

give performance prop in soddy tn. a call with a description of what you have and he can tell you just what you need for overall performance!!

Mercury props won't fit OMC's unless they are modified to fit. OMC props will go on a mercury with no problem. This is because of spline lenth in the prop. They are 2 different OMC 150's. up to 1992 is a X-flow and 92-up is a looper. Even they though they are both "150's" there is a difference in torque and power. This will also play a role in the prop quest.

Still curious about what boat you have.

The prop will fit with modifications to the splines but it will have a lot of slippage. Most bass boats with OMC's will run good with a 24 raker. I work on all sizes of bass boats with 150's, 175's, and 200's and 225's and 95% of 24 rakers on them. I would almost bet that is what Tim and Billy will tell you to run on it. Just my .02.

Yep, I bet a 24 raker would do very well on that hull and engine combination. Just my .02!

I have one on loan right now and maybe we could hook up and let you try it at the lake. Then you may want to sell the laser II and get a raker.

Small hub (4 1/4 gearcases) laser II props are even numbers
Large hub (4 3/4 gearcases) laser II props are odd numbers
