A lot going on at work and it's had me forgetting things. So here's info on our Tims Ford and Normandy tournaments....

Tims Ford 3-31-12
We had 12 adults and 8 juniors fish this event with new members joining after the tourney (it was an Open tourney) and some old members coming back into the fold. For the adults Brent Sain took the win with 5 fish for 14.92 pounds and a $280 prize. Chris Oliver was second with 5 for 13.61 taking $129. Richard Martinez was third with 4 for 13.41 after a dead fish penality and $40. He also had big fish with a 4.46 for $60.

For the juniors Shane Smith had the biggest sack with 3 fish for 9.45 pounds and $59.00 He had the big fish with a 4.22 and that got him another $40 and for the win his dad Chris Smith got his entry fee back $50 under one of our district's bonus plans this year. Noel Damron was in the money for the first time with 2 fish at 5.34 for second place and $21.00. You should have seen his smile! Just out of the money in third was Weslee Elliott with 2 fish for 4.70.

Chris and Shane Smith joined up after the tourney!

Normandy 4-21-12
We had 7 adults and 5 juniors brave the conditions which at times looked and felt like we were filming an episode of Deadliest Catch! New members Kirkland "Kornbread" Hill and his little brother Kenzie Hill joined up at the ramp. Brent Sain ran his win streak to 2 taking the adult side with 5 fish for 15.19 and $194. Robert Damron was second with 4 fish for 11.49, $72.00 and also had big fish with a 4.07 worth $35.00. I provided all with a good laugh when I weighed in my one spot at .80. Hey points is points...

Hank Lowrie notched his second win of the season with a 5 fish limit for 11.97 and big fish of 3.57 garnering him $40 and $25 respectively. He also got Brent Sain his entry fee back $50 as he rode with Brent. Dakota Cantrell was second with 4 fish for 7.60 and $10.

The tourney saw the Cantrells riding with me since they're still having boat trouble, me pulling a hook out of Robert Damron, Damron having to be towed in at the end of the tourney and some of us really bright guys almost having our toes pop off like crab's legs since we fished in Tevas, Crocs and sandals. emoBang At one point the Cantrells and I thought we might be experiencing hypothermia (sp?) since we were just telling so many jokes and one liners about the weather we were laughing until we were crying. Good times. Good times. emoLaugh

Our next tournament is May 26 on Nickajack out of Shellmound. Come fish with us!emoWelcome
David.
