We got out for 3 hours of catfishing this morning. 4 catfish were "called" into the ministry.emoHungry They were in order, 8.0 blue, 8.0 channel, 13.0 blue, 15.0 channel. Rsimms, notice the chicken draped over the head of the 15 pounder. I didn't realize that it was hanging on like that. These fish were caught in 40-45 feet of water on the channel drop near Harrison Bluff.

Going to Maryville later on today to visit Mom and Pop. Be back on the water next Monday.emoGeezer

DrumKing .. you rock!!! I was wondering .. which is better for eating .. blues or channels? I don't know what you gave me but dang those things were delicious!!!

Oh .. someday to fish for a cat ... it's coming!!! Good job and have a nice and safe trip.

Is the belly on that first one so poofy because of the air bladder thing?

Absolutely great pictures and I know by the smile on your faces that a good time was had by all.... However, the camera did not do you any favors in the first pic.... Did you have my beach ball under your shirt?????emoPoke

DK, you know I'm just kidding..... love ya man FAemoGeezer

Nice going there brother once again I wish I was there. Going to stay in MO over the weeekend to try and get ahead. I'll be home next weekend for sure and help you bring some more cats into the ministry.emoLaugh

AS they say DR the proof is in the pudding, oops the pictures. those are some nice looking cats. I bet they pulled good too, did you use legs, or breast to debaptize those into the ministry. Nice pictures of you both.

shocker

Great fish and info DK. I see that Doc is still with you on the fish. Has he ever signed up on the forum yet? You really need to get him on.

TT I think DK is out of town for the weekend so I don't think he will mind me answering your question. He and I think a lot alike on eating fish. He gave you blue cats I believe and they are the best eating hands down. Blues are what I cooked @ the picnic. They are also my personal favorite fish with stripers being a real close second.

Thanks Cheez for answering that. I used to fish for catfish when I lived in Dallas with my best friend Sue, but we always went to a catfish farm and paid by pound. :) Not that we were lazy but the cats we caught in the lakes tasted yucky!!!

But I have to say .. the ones I ate from DK were equally as good as the ones I remember eating from the catfish farm. Maybe better. Of course that could have been from the fact that I hadn't had any in a long long time.

My son and I are planning on going in the morning. I was thinking about keeping a few of the smaller ones if we catch any. TT, would you like a mess of fillets if we do get some?

We will be putting in at Skull Island, looks like you live in the Harrison area. PM me a number and I'll call you when we are leaving the lake and we can meet somewhere, hopefully we can catch a few.

Flip don't catch all of them, save baitbucket and me a couple of the big ones. We will get a late start tomorrow. If you see us in the Pantoon, come over and say hey. What kind of boat will you be in?

FM and Flip, you both better save me some... I'll be there Sunday morning. If I don't get a big one you'll both be to blame!emoPoke

No worry drc, you are a big fish magnet. I dont care if I get a big one this time, I want Evan ( my son) to get ahold of one that tops his best, 23 pounds. He is sssoooo ready to go too. I cant remember your boat, what will you be in?
