Fished six hours sat. afternoon. It was a little windy warter temp.was 51. We caught 10 bass, the better five were caught on rocky points on river channel in four foot of water. The bigest was 2.5 on a jerk bait caught by my fishing buddy, who also tore it up in the last thirty minutes catching four more on his trusty jerk bait in the back of a slough. The rest were caught on a green U tail worm.

Thanks for the info nighthawk. I was wondering about the bass. It always seems to me that I don't do all that well on bass in the winter and so I go fishing for crappies and bluegills but my true love in fishing is for bass. Did the fish seem to be relating to bait schools or anything in particular?

polo, most all the bass we have caught on the last two or three trips seemed to be scattered and suspended.
