My nephew who is an avid bow hunter could not convince himself to put his bow down. While everyone else switched over to a gun he was bound and determined to get a nice buck with his bow. My nephew's name is Tommy Pratt and he sometimes hunts with us down at our camp. He went out a couple weekends ago with two others. He had his bow and they had rifles. His persistence paid off when a hot doe came into the area he was hunting. There were four deer chasing this one doe around where he was. One spike, a small six, an eight and this nine point. The spike is not legal to shoot in AR and he passed on the six. The eight he would have shot but did not give him a good shot to take. This nine came by once and also did not give him a shot. He thought he had messed up but lucky for him the six point chased the doe near him again and this nine came back. This time he had a shot, took it and scored. Very nice deer for a late season bow deer. emoWorthy emoThumbsup Jmax

Yea, like I told you today, he sounded like you just younger. emoBigsmile Both times he had shots at the six and neither time he took them. Then both times he passed up on it he had the bigger deer come by. If on either case if he had shot the six he would have not seen the nine or eight. Got to admit he is a little different to still be using a bow while everyone else had picked up a gun. My hat is off to him for his dedication. emoWorthy Jmax
