I have been seeing the crappie condos made with a bucket concrete and pvc. They work but that seems a little much trouble. I do not and would not trash the river but I would like to put out some manufactured pvc condos in selected areas.
What is the ruling on putting anything into the water to attract fish?
Where the lawn and garden Dept comes into play is that I think that pvc lawn chairs with their shape, design and size would be perfect for setting out on the lake floor.. I thogght about putting weight on the front legs and sink them so the chair back and seat would be up off the bottom offering great cover for fish. If you should hit one with a boat, I doubt that it would cause any damages compared to a rock pile.
I found two plastic chairs stuck together in a slough where they may have fallen into the water from a pontoon boat. I seperated them and placed them in the same area in slightly deeper water. They look great and I plan on fishing them the next time I go to see how they do.
What are you guys and gals thoughts on using lawn chairs as fish cover?
