I DO NOT HAVE A MOWING BUSINESS!!!!
I'm just trying to get an idea if there is a need for this kind of service for members.
Next spring I am interested in starting a small mowing business. It's something I enjoy doing and only will cut 3-4 yards a week. (May take on a few more if enough interest)
Are there any fishermen/fisher women here that would hire someone like me to do their yards and free yourselves up for more time on the lake?
Yards will be mowed during the week (Mon-Fri) - weather permitting of course.
The benefits are:
1) I will have lower mowing fees for CFF members - and also due to low overhead costs. * Keep in mind; I live in Cleveland, TN.
2) You'll have more time to enjoy time with family, fishing or other activities.
3) Not have the wear and tear on your own equipment.
4) Can use the option of me using your equipment for an even lower cost (you supply the gas/oil & mower. also weed eater if you own one - other wise I can use my weed eater & blower.
5) Will mow weekly, Bi-weekly, every 3 weeks, once a month or as needed (1 time only - for instance you're on vacation and want your lawn mowed while away to keep thieves and burglars from seeing high grass... a common practice for thieves is to look for unkempt yards informing them of a vacant house / family is away.
I am not a fly by night guy... I had a small mowing business in 1991 -1993 while stationed in Midwest City, Oklahoma. We mowed for 2 yrs till I received orders to move to Georgia. * I mowed yards and was also an independent contractor for the Bank of Oklahoma and 1 other realtor (can't remember the name). I also had the opportunity to mow for a 2nd realtor, but was notified of orders to move before the next mowing season.
* When mowing yards - I also provided security checks on all vacant properties owned by realtors and the bank. Checked for locked doors and windows, looked for break-ins and vandalism. Reported all damage found to approximate realtor / bank.
With permission... can also do the same for others when mowing yards while family is away; (I would require written / notarized permission as proof from home owners to prevent me from getting arrested as suspected burglars.
I would be checking exterior doors, windows, garage and anything else requested by owner. Checking doors & windows for security - still locked, for damage indicating some has or did break in. (Once family returned, permission papers would be returned to home owner unless they wanted me to keep the permission slip and continue mowing for them.
I did this simple service FREE of charge - as a courtesy.... It didn't take long to complete and gave me a short break / rest from the mowing. lol
To those that give a positive response; Thanks. YOU will not be considered as a potential, future customer unless you state so; if my business gets up and running spring 2010.
Thank you, emoThanks
