As big as this forum has gotten I am sure that there are some of you that would like to pitch in on a lease close to chattanooga. I have never leased land before so I don't really know how you go about finding a good hunting lease. Back home I could hunt on the sod farms my dad worked with so there was no shortage of places to hunt. Anybody that wants to go in on a spot to hunt that has any clue whatsoever what to do when looking for a lease shoot me a PM.

I'd be interested as well, especially if the lease borders farmland. The acorn eaters don't taste as good as those that are corn fed

I have a good friend that has a lease on Cagle mtn. (Sequatchie/Bledsoe) cty. I believe he is close to 12000 acres for around $400/yr. Let me know if you are interested and I will give you his #.

That might be worth looking into. What type of land is it...cut-over, farm, hardwoods, etc?</p>

I would be interested as long as it isn't too far from Chattanooga, as I live in Trenton, Georgia. My 13 yr old has been all over me about deer hunting for the past year.

this is the guy you need to talk to that will point you in the right direction. He works for bowater in ga and tn. hes out of calhoun ga. Ive tried calling but couldnt get anybody. his number is 706-629-8634. If you come across something that looks good let me know, i might go in with ya.

If its on a Cagle, its cutover and hardwoods on top of the mountain.- Big Deer for this area!

The lease my friend has is on Cagle. It has hardwoods, pines, cut-overs, and multiple established food plots.

PM me if you would like his number.

what do you guys say wanna go together on a lease. I would think with 12000 acres we might could hunt 5 or 6 people there and split up the cost pretty cheap! send me a PM if that sounds good to yall! Anybody know the zip code for cagle mountain?

Cagle Mtn has some awsome big bucks and plenty of them.  I have more than a dozen places up there already where I hunt and could not possibly try to hunt more.  That does not include the Five places in Jackson County near Gainsborough.
