Sunday I took my bow to an area where I deer hunt to open up a shooting area. I also took a chainsaw and a trail cam to install. But anyway. I was on the ground walking through the proposed shooting zone when I see two deer walking toward me. Two fat does. I shoot a Ten Point Pro Elite Crossbow which is top of the line in my opinion. I clicked the safety to fire. turned on the scope and scoped the first deer. She stopped and looked at me for a moment. Then she proceeded to walk straight at me to within ten yards. I positioned the three red dots in the center of her neck facing me so as to assure a through the spine neck shot for a quick kill. Well, I did my usual. I eased the bow down and just made eye contact with the two deer. She and the second deer ran back the way they had came. </p>I walked on up the small ridge checking for deer activity, noting several early Buck rubs being used very heavily. I returned to the area of my shooting zone and saw the two Does standing in the middle. I approached them to within Twenty Yards. I again turned on my scope, I placed the 20 yd Dot for a perfect heart shot. Yes, I knew I could have killed that deer. I lowered my bow again and watched as the deer trotted on across the zone...<div></div><div>My cell phone rang in less than ten minutes. My buddy was over in Altamont and asked if I would like to come to the farm to hunt there... I asked if he had seen anything and his reply was "No". Hummmmm. I told him I had been staring down deer over here and allowing them to pass. and "Why would I want to drive to a worse place to only allow more deer to pass. Well, Take a guess where my buddy wants to hunt this coming Wednesday? I cleared my shooting zone area of a few small trees and mounted my trail cam. Still wanting the trophies... Came home and passed on the evening hunt.</div><div></div><div> A Good Adventure in the deer woods.</div><div>
