About November 2009, I think, Richard Simms put the following video on the Forum. It’s about wearing life-jackets in cold water in order to save your life. I know—you are a good swimmer, at least in the summer.
This video on cold muscle tissue and is called Cold Water Boot Camp. It’s for water under 50 degrees. If you fish when the water is under 55 degrees—watch this video.

Thank you for this video! Should be a sticky for sure. Learned quite a bit from this.
 
Just because you have warm clothes on you only have minutes (Not very many either) to get out. Water sucks the heat from the body 8 times faster than air.
OK you got out!! Your still wet and losing valuable core temp. Are you going to be able to make it back to the boat landing without losing consciousness??
