I Have been fishing spoons quite a bit recently and been using a snap swivel, and then attach it directly to the spoon. The line twist has been horrible. How are some of you guys attaching to jigging spoons. I am using 10 lbs test sten as line on my spoon rod 6-6 MH bait casting outfit. THanks guys

I have never tried attaching a bait directly to the swivel, but I would think that you would be much better off using a leader of any length with a barrel swivel, and then tying the leader to the spoon. My two cents, but I bet Dahun will have the real answer, as he has been killing them with spoons lately.

Sorry, I don't have the answer - I just tie a palomar knot with no swivel. I have had a few minor episodes of line twist and just let out about 6-8ft of line and let it unwind hanging in the air over the side of the boat. A barrel swivel about 18 inches up from the spoon might help...
