Hey guys what color and size lipless cranks are y'all having luck with this time of year I haven't had any luck with them in a while and I'm wondering if its the color or size I'm throwing the small red eye shad in a shad color is that what y'all are catching them on? There The 2 tap also

Thanks-
Dylan

It must be a location kind of deal because I'm in the same boat and throw a lot of the same colors.

Lots of colors are working. I like the 1/2 or 5/8 oz sizes the best and fish them pretty shallow. We caught several keepers on Saturday in less than 2 feet. If the water is dirty or murky I like reds and chartruese. Clearer, shad colors, shiny etc. No real wrong way to work them. Sometimes burning it and killing it works, yo yoing, reel and twitch.....

I tried it yesterday in shallow and deep couldn't get a sniff red and shad colors I don't know what I'm doing wrong I'll figure it out though thanks guys!

I had same luck on traps yesterday not a fish been doing good on them caught them on crank baits jig and j.b. could not get them to hit the traps. must not have found the right color they wanted.

Find the baitfish first, i don't think color matters much since your looking for reaction strikes (I've caught plenty the last few trips on various colors). Change up how your work them, as Davo explained. Keep your hook prongs bent properly and don't forget to re-tie periodically.
