Something I have heard about recently seems to the biggest change in boat batteries in probably decades. These new lithium batteries(ignore the ridiculous pricing since this is a brand new technology)have some incredible abilities. A pro has claimed that he can go for a couple days during a tournament without having to think about charging them. They are supposed to weigh half as much as a lead-acid based battery that produces the same numbers. Big ol' KVD who gets almost everything for free (including a new boat each year regardless of changes to the boat or not) bought a set mostly out of pocket last year and when it got time to get his new nitro he took the batteries with him. along with this they are also expected to last a few years longer than the lead-acid batteries on average. Im just wondering what you all know, experienced, or also heard about these new innovations. Running a lightweight boat the idea of reducing 50lbs and increasing ability at the same time excites me and I just have 2 batteries.
what price would you all pay for these batteries?
do you trust them?
