Live baiting below Chick dam?

Hoping to go out tommorrow below the dam and I have a fallback plan to catch fish but I'd like to "experiment" ie: try a way that many other people have used many times but will be a first for me. Wondering if cast netting shad and free lining them around any structure around the dam, such as that wall between the spillways and turbines will work this time of year. Also, if free lining them wont work, any other way to use them or artificials to catch any type of bass below there? PM me if you can help or post it, thanks

Freelining live bait is probably the best technique to use on the river. It works so well that many on the forum call it cheating. emoBigsmile I say "whatever it takes within the law" Fish the walls and bridge piling areas and hang on. Nearly every specie down there can be caught, including some BIG fish. We will be waiting for the report.
