As we discussed delayed mortality of tournament caught bass, I sent an e-mail asking Triton about the current state and future development efforts to improve livewell technology to reduce delayed mortality. Here is their response:

Thanks for your interest in "Livewell" technology. As I'm sure you are aware we are always striving to improve our livewells and have a record as a leader in that area with standard fill, standard recirculate, and pumpouts , we also use plugs to close our livewells rather than mechanical valves because of the fail rate on the later. We are working closely with Aqua Innovations and with T&H Products to improve oxygen generating systems and offer both as options on Triton tournament boats. We are also looking in to several manufacturers who are working with cooling systems for livewells which we think would be a significant improvement. At this time those systems (cooling) are too bulky and require too much amperage. We will continue to explore any and all resources that hold promise to protect our resource (gamefish). Again thanks for your interest.
