Does anyone here know if its possible to turn an old style livewell (circa 1996) Stratos into a pump in pump out livewell that wont half way fill up just putting the boat in the water?

I have the same issue with mine. The problem is that the water runs up the overflow when you put the boat in reverse. The lever that says empty/ auto only controls the drain line.

I have thought about adding a check valve to the overflow line.

My bigger problem is I have a front live well also, but use it for tackle storage. If I really goose it in reverse, water will push all the way up there.

Not 100% sure if their big enough but Academy sales livewell plugs that you put in the bottom of the live well to keep water in. My thinking emoTeacher is you could buy them and plug the overfill holes and pull them when you need to. Their 6$ for two. Thats what I'm thinking of doing. They also turn so you can adjust them to the hole to.
