I am wondering if a drum pulls as hard as a LM. The two times out using my new Cashion cranking sticks on the river below the dam, all I've caught throwing an XR50 is a few big drum in the 10-12 lb range. Can I expect the same from a LM of that size or will the LM pull harder?

Thanks,
Bill

The only freshwater drum i have caught were bream fishing in lite tackle and they were small drum so i cant say. now if you were asking about red drum on the gulf coast.....those pull hard way harder than bass i have caught those over 20 pounds lots of times.

Drum always feel great at the beginning and then they die out pretty quick. I had one break my line and just lay there in the water as I unhooked my crank bait and got it back. If you are into Drum, Ole Drumking can help you find them below chick dam with some hair jigs!
