Reading this pisses me off so much! A local in uniform law enforcement officer was asked/told to leave an Outback Steakhouse in Cleveland, TN because he was wearing (by law) his sidearm. Seems that some puke said she "was scared for her life" because officers shoot people. WTF!

I will never step into an Outback Steakhouse! The manager who did this should be fired! Guys and gals we do not want this sort of thing to happen anywhere, let alone in Tennessee!

This story made me sick!
The couple that caused that........I can imagine what kind of people they are. If I was to say it I would be labeled a right wing Nazi.
They wanted to make a scene and boy did they get it.
I fear those people more than LEO's.
America is being dragged down by PC going way too far.

It is unfortunate that this happened but it should absolutely be told that Outback stepped up and apologized to the officer
The officer has accepted the apology and Outback has stated “We have always allowed uniformed officers to carry their side arms inside our restaurants,” Watts said. “A manager made a mistake and we have discussed this with her. We have also contacted the guests and personally apologized.”

He was also given a $100.00 gift card from Outback but that seems a little insulting. Oh...here -- have a gift card. Seems like they might want to do a little more to get back in good graces with that officer.

Yeah my buddies girlfriend works up there. I haven't read the story yet, but I guess there was a family that was just absolutely freaked out seeing his gun which is ridiculous since officers are here to protect and serve. They should have felt safer with an officer there in my opinion. The manager definitely made the wrong call and that family should have just left and gone back in their cave where i guess they have never left. Crazy!!

That sux! My Conseal Carry Permit and my 9mm on my side would be over there like Umm Hmm... What you don't know won't hurt you...

Plenty of places to eat other than Outback so no more money from my family for them. Now everybody can go eat a steak at Outback and stop at Starbucks for coffee on the way home to watch NFL where people kneel during the National Anthem. The very person that would protect their family and their civil rights they just ran out the door.

Anyone that thinks Outback did the right thing by apologizing and gave a paltry $100 gift certificate should look at this. This happened just hours ago on my sister’s department. The looser who complained about an lawful officer in uniform should have been skidded out on their rear end!

while i dont agree with Outback's "gun free zone"or asking the TWRA officer to leave or the other guest that "feared for their life" here's some quick info to consider:

92% of mass shootings take place in gun free zones
youre 100 times more likely to be killed by a police officer than a "terrorist"
US supreme court ruled that LEO have no obligation to protect you or your property, their only obligation is to enforce the laws of the ruling class
90% of laws passed go against public opinion/desire
who violates the rights of the people more than LEO/government(one and the same)? rhetorical question.
