I'll be coming down to fish the G at the end of February for a week along with 3 others and 2 boats. We're looking for a place to stay or rent for the week such as lodges, homes, or whatever. We stayed last year at Woody's and it was o.k. but we hope for a bit of an upgrade this time. Any help would be greatly appreciated. We'll be fishing out of Goose Pond mostly so staying near there would be a plus. THANKS!!!! emoScratch emoScratch emoScratch

not sure what woodys is but theres a place at mud creek that has small house like places very reasonable priced with boat gar that is connected to the rooms im not sure of the name but ill get it if you are intrested mud creek is about 20 mins from goose pond by car

"The Lodge with a garage!" It's called Creekstone Lodge. They have a website: www.creekstonelodge.com Here's the # (256)574-1462. I have stayed there several times. It's not a five star by any means. They are aluminum buildings with garages attached to each unit. Very efficient for a fishing trip and very good prices.

Check out the cabins at Guntersville State Park. They have several different lodging options:camping, hotel (upscale), chalets, and the cabins in the campground. The State park also has a huge boat ramp and is in a good area to fish. good luck

call doug at waterfront tackle. he has a couple homes that he rents out. hes also a guide and owns 2 tackle stores on the water.

We've stayed a couple of times at the rooms at Goosepond. I think they also have a lodge that is supposed to be a little nicer. Cost was reasonable and had hookups. On a downside the parking was a little tight if you're not pretty good at backing a trailer. Just a couple hundred yards from the dock. They do not offer boat covering like the place at Mud Creek.
