Every time I get to go to the river it's special, but some evenings just stand out above the crowd. I got to spend the evening out with Mancel and June Reeves from Louisiana... the parents of CFF Member "nomad." What a delightful evening on the water. I was in great fear of thunderstorms... instead we were treated to one of the prettiest orange pastel sunsets I've watched paint the sky in a while. Mancel happened to mention that he June sing in a bluegrass group (The Lone Pine Pickers) and I asked for a song. He hesitated, just for a moment, and the next thing I knew I was being serenaded at sunset by a pair of pure pearls. I only wish June had brought along her fiddle (she is a Louisiana State Champion, by the way). Oh yea, we also caught some fish. The one cooler sitting on another in a picture below is there because the fish kept jumping out of the bottom one. And I've got to get a wide-angle lense. The shot of both of them reeling is a double, of course you can't see rod tips so it's kind of hard to tell. And the one of Mancel fishing with June watching... well she's ready to go. He's not. emoBigsmile Thanks Reeves for a wonderful evening filled with merriment, song and catfish.

Very nice! You could tell those folks were enjoying their fishing.
By the way, that evening sun reflecting on the water in the last pic around the gentleman fishing sure makes for a very good Photograph.
Thanks for that report.

Mancel has that intense look. Like "just one more kitty dear, just one more" I love it.
Those Louisianna folks love their fish. Catching and eating fish down there is part of their life.
Great job,great report Richard

How blessed are you Rsimms to be able to enjoy evenings like that with wonderful people!! To put them on fish and have them catch such nice blues at that. My first daughter, son-in-law, and grandkids live in Louisiana. Way to go, my guide.emoThumbsup emoThumbsup emoGeezer

RSimms ... you have one of the coolest jobs as far as personal satisfaction that I can think of anyone having. I bet its hard work getting ready and loading and cleaning and all that .. but to catch a picture of those two having that much fun ... is worth all the effort.

Thanks for making fishing such a pleasant experience for us folks who don't make a living from it.
