Finally broke a long dry spell on opening day of Alabama gun season. Hunted Thursday and Friday during the end of muzzleloader week, had it all to myself.....only saw two dogs cross a field in 4 hunts. Saturday's gun opener ratched up the pressure and the deer began to move. Shot this really nice 8 pointer (198# live weight). It was with three other nice bucks which exploded thru the timber when the gun fired. I can't say enough about my new TC Encore (30-06); it is so light that off-hand shots are really nice.
