Finally decided to let my 13 yr. Old son fish the dogfight we had Saturday 10/18 and boy was he excited. Woke him up at 4 am and he hit the floor running. Needless to say, it was a tough day for us as we didn't catch a keeper fish. Now on to today. Since it was so tough yesterday I decided to take him out today. Much better!!! We ended up catching 8 total today. 3 on spinner bait and believe it or not we got not only our first one of the year on a frog, but we got 4 more with him. All fish was in the 3 to 3.5 range but we did get one that was about 4.5. Our best three would have been 10-10.5 lbs and boy was he disappointed we didn't catch them yesterday. He said "Dad, do know we would have won yesterday and had big fish to"? All I could say was yes but do you realize that I enjoyed the way you stuck with it on a very tough day and fished you tail off for 7 hrs. even though it was tough out there and I just enjoyed being with you? He preceeded to let me know that he wanted to win bad but he still had fun with me. Man I tell you what, when you hear that your child had fun being with you, everything else doesn't even matter! See you guys on the water and after today, the frog bite is really close.

nice report and great memories . i have a 15 month old little girl and it doesnt matter if she is sick sleepy or just crying for the heck of it u can walk outside and all sadness or sickness goes away if she is just outside and to top it off loves just sitting in my boat in the garage. i try to make it a point to take her out in the boat when im rigging rods up for the next day or just cleaning the boat. dont wanna wish her toddler days away but cant wait until i look in that passenger seat and she is riding shotgun going to the lake with me
