Looking for a good campsite...

Some friends and I are planning a camping/fishing trip for the 4th of July weekend and I am looking for a good campsite either on Chick or Nick where a few friends can set up some tents and build a fire. We would like to access the site by boat. I'm not looking for a big public campground, but I don't want to camp on someone's property without their permission either. Any ideas are welcome. Thanks!

I know you said not a public one but if you do not find anything the section that is for tents only at HBSP has everything you just mentioned and nice clean bathrooms with showers. emoSmile Jmax

Find someone doing on vaction and use there backyard and there dock. HEHE

On the jack between Sullivans and the cove on the right side are places to camp that are accessible by boat or by the river road.

I would have to say grasshopper in birchwood. It never seems to awfully busy, and thye have a boat ramp.
