A couple months ago, I was in a neighboring state on a fishing trip. I went to the local wally world to buy a fishing license and saw an AR in the gun rack. I was surprised and asked the sales guy how long it had been there. He said three weeks!!! He also said Wal Mart never did mark the guns up like other dealers. The price was $905. If you can find one at Wally World, the price will be hard to beat - that is if they still have not raised the price.
I have a friend who lives in Calhoun, GA. Last year, he went to a Wal Mart in Alabama and was buying ammo when they brought in two of the AR's. A guy was in front of him and asked for one. My friend was second in line and got the other. He said they are sold on a first come, first served basis, so timing was every thing. I've always said I'd rather be lucky than good - it's twice the fun and half the work.
