I have one of those scales and I think it just goes to 10 pounds or so.

For a 3 fish, 3 hour tournament it should work. If it doesn't then we'd weigh the big fish individually. If more than one person has over a 10lbs bass in a 3 hour dogfight...I'll quit my job and devote the rest of my summer to finding out how the heck that happened. ) Ben ponddoctors.org

We bought a "used" set for our club and they were expensive. We searched a lot of meat and grocery stores and then found a set at a now defunct bass tournament trail and ended up paying around $200.00 for them, but like I said, they are real nice ones...and been certified.

Depending on your budget.  The scales for our club were 800.00 new.  Not sure what a used set could go for.  Don't think I would want a hanging set.  Seems like the flatbed has the best functionality. </p>

I took him a set of postal scales they go up to 50 pounds and he said they would work so i hope they do work out for him
