looking for rod locker props

My rod locker doesn't stay open by itself. Has slamed shut and broke seveeral rods recently when removing some that were tangled. I'd like to know where to buy something that would keep it open until I wanted to close it. Anyone know where I should go??? Would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

try installing some gas shocks to the lid or some heavy springs from ace hdwr,easy to install and not much cost.

I have some gas shocks that I used on my boat. They worked great I have some spares you are welcome to. All you need is the swivel balls that screw into the sides. Just shoot me a pm if you want them I am in cleveland and could prob meet you with them. I put them on all my bins so they stay open if I want. The only problem is if you forget to latch the lid and make a run through rough water they will open.

You can also get some rod sleeves up at fish n fun that will keep your rods from getting tangled in the locker.... Saves the guides on your rods also..... Very useful...
