looking to buy a black lab

Im looking to buy a black lab for goose hunting, i have a price range of up to about $500. Hoping somebody had some some suggestions.

Gundog central is a good place to start looking. Or Duckhill Kennels, and wildrose kennels is in Tn as well. Im sure they are plenty other breeders in the area as well.

You could try www.petfinder.org and probably find one from a shelter for next to nothing. Since labs are big dogs they are the last to get adopted so there are usually a lot of them. Even if they are not 100% pure bred they could still be trained just like a $500 one.

hello i know a guy who is taking reserves on pups they will be out of a master field trial champion best dog i ever seen run around here and a even betteer hunting dog the dad is owened by jody ware in west tn he run 19 hunt test and passed 18 of them pm for more details the owner of the female is brian caldwell he is from harrison tn if u bought a pup he is the type of guy to help u train it or u could pay him to train it in my opinion hr is the best dog trainer in this area

I second Brady Collins. He's a personal friend of mine and has awesome dogs. He is hooked up with John Broucek in Kingston and John is NO Doubt the best dog trainer in the east TN AREA. Brian Caldwell's female is outta Rowdy. Rowdy belonged to John before he was sold to Wade Newman and Jody Ware.

I recommend rescuing one.. All of my dogs are rescues and best a man could ask for!

Check out GA Lab recue. I used to foster for them They have wonderfull dogs, many are papered full bred as well. I have adopted two from shelter (both lab mixes) they have been the best dogs I have ever had.

For sure John Brouchek is the real deal. He and Brady have some very good dogs. John actually won a ESPN super retriever series with FC Watermark's Texas Welcome (Howdy) Chocolate Factored 56 Derby Points #2 Derby Dog In 2001.

I'm sure if he doesn't have what you are looking for... he can find it.
