Al and I have talked about this and there is a concern.

A person could fish the entire trail with less than 150 post and so long as he is with a member that has more than 150, he could fish the Classic with a free pass!

I for one do not like that scenario. Just my opinion but I want to see the classic entries with 5 of 9 and 150 post! NO FREE PASSES. May even want consider that the 150 requirement be for both anglers not boat combined. (chew on that) I like that idea. As cheap as the trail is to fish, as easy as it is to log in and make a 5 sentence report or post, these guys should be able to get thier post counts up! That's the idea right? We`also need to let these guys know that reports need to be...

1-Helpful in some way to CFF Members
2-Fishing Reports
3- anything other than jokes or conversation.

Please think about the pass issue and place your vote. We need ALL COMMITTEE MEMBERS to get involved in this. Make sure you read the chioces....

Thanks Guys!

I voted for the 150 posts combined and no free passes. Requiring both to have 150 posts is too exclusionary and would prevent relatively new and active members the opportunity from enjoying our company. Do you really want to deprive them of that?

Why can't we just have a rule that Passes aren't allowed in the classic? I think we are going to miss out on possible new valuable members if we do not allow passes. I am voting for option 2, being that EACH angler is ONLY allowed 2 passes as I recommended from the beginning.

I did say no free passes for the Classic in the other thread. But a free pass, from what I have gathered, is for a guest that isnt fishing with a "qualified" member. Is that not right? If Rob's backseater has fished 5 of 9 with him, he would be allowed to fish the Classic, regardless of post count, as long as it is with another "qualified" member. At least that was my take on it, but I could be way off from you guys.

For what it's worth, I agree with Jerry that a combined 150 is still the way to go or else you are getting too exclusive for hopefully the largest and highest paying tourny of the season. I say anyone who has fished 5 of 9 qualifies. If they have fished 5 of 9 without the post count, they can find another member who has fished 5 and combine their posts to 150, and Im fine with that. As long as that boat has 150 posts and both anglers have fished 5 Txs

I think with the way we have this thing set up, it is simple enough to qualify one's self to fish solo if he/she wishes. 150 posts is easy to come by with a little effort, especially shared between two anglers for a combined number

My vote is for no free passes and no first time guests for the Classic. Boat must have combined 150 post count made up of contributing members. Al

I have a green-horned neighbor, new to the area and fishing period, he's just learning how to get the boat off the trailer, therefore you cant expect too much posting from him. He's a great guy and I really want to be able to bring him along to these txs. Thus, I voted for the no passes, 150 combined. Is that right?

My vote is for no free passes and no first time guests for the Classic. Boat must have combined 150 post count made up of contributing members. Al

And all anglers must have fished 5 tx's.

Churly, the way the rules were laid out is that your neighbor could of:

A) partnered with you or another member as long as it totalled 150

B) could burn a pass (1 of 2) and possibly fish with his child, dad, or someone other prospective "non"-member, of which the 150 post requirement is not met.

If we don't allow pass, the great opportunity of choice B goes out the window. I'm not trying to be difficult and i respect everyone's opinions. This is just mine :)

Is this trail about keeping a "good ole boy system", or increasing participation and brotherhood among old and NEW members? I just would hate to miss the opportunity to bring in new blood. But hey, maybe it won't make a difference one way or the other!?

I love and respect my fellow tournament committee members emoAngel

whoa wait.. i think i might of missed something. Is this just pertaining to the classic? If so, I'm a dumb dumb and agree with the majority o the vote. Sorry guys if thats the fact!

The 5 tx requirement is a must also, because someone could have a ringer fish with them in a couple of tx and then sneak in for the high pay back classic. My 2 cents. Al

Classic requirements

150 posts per boat, in combination
Each angler must have fished a min. of 5 tx's
No free passes
Members only

To Churly's example...if your neighbor fishes at least five tx with you and becomes a CFF member he's cool. We would dog him in the five tx to post something and contribute.

Any other thoughts beloved committee members??? emoHeart emoCool

I agree, 150 posts in combination and both anglers must fish 5 of 9 to qualify. If that is the case then we need not worry about passes. Thats pretty cut and dry

Al,

My neighbor is already a member, he's just know how to get the boat off the trailer, therefore he cant post anything. I hope to change that soon! Anyone in the classic must have fished 5 txs-yes!
