A family pet was lost during a car accident on Wednesday night around 10:30PM. The accident happened on the Hamilton county side of White Oak Mountain on Harrison Pike/Mahan Gap. No sign of the dog has been found at the scene. A lot of people have searched the wreck site and adjacent wooded areas for a body or signs of mortal injury but nothing is there.
The dog was traveling in the car when the accident happened. The driver lost consciousness during the accident and when she awoke the dog was missing.
The dog is a 70 pound Red Nose Pit Bull that answers to the name of Bella. She is a very gentle and friendly dog, she was wearing a pink harness at the time of the accident.
We feel like she might have been confused during the wreck and walked off. Possible areas are the Georgetown/Ooltewah road area and just about any of the back roads around White oak Mountain.
A reward is being offered for the dogs return home. Call 423-356-6453 or 423-284-2003</p>
