Have a 86 XR2 2.0L 150 HP powerhead that has been completly redone (was my personal engine). First $1200 takes it. That includes installed. Please see section 2. This doesn't even pay for parts /achine work invested into it. This is for the long block. It has been bored .015 in all 6 cylinders ($300 machine work) 6 new pro marine pistons ( $93.95 X6 = $563.70) Boyesen reeds ($182.95) 12 new rod bolts ($3.40 X12= $40.80) new wrist pin bearings ($6.99 X 6 = $41.94) new rod bearings ( $11.49 X 6= $68.94) new lower crank bearing ( $33.99) new upper main ($88.95) 2 new center main bearings ($99.95 X2=$199.95) Gasket set (99.95) seal kit ($26.00) and switched the verticle front 1/2 to a 2.4 200 horizontal half ($150). Heads shaved from 34CC to 30CC ($60.00) As you can see there is $1857.17 invested in just parts and machine work.

It has a 84 2.4 200 crankshaft (1 3/8) in it as the top journal was damaged on the origninal. This engine has 143-145 PSI of compression with 2% leakage. Engine has 15hrs on it and will come with a warranty of course you will need to replace some other parts for me to stand behind it. As with any reman engine certain things have to be made sure that they are correct so a repeat failure does not occur. Carbs rebuilt, .002 larger main jets, all spark/ idle stabilizers removed, water pump, fuel drained/replaced and switchboxes (#1 reason other then waterpump/overheat) replaced (unless already 2 CDI switch boxes). If these items are done BY ME then I will give a 1 year written warranty. Other than that I can not warranty it. EXAMPLE, If the bias circuit is bad in a switch box, 1-3-5 bank is 25* timing but 2-4-6 bank is 31* because of bias and it melts a piston, I'm not going to repair/replace parts due to YOUR parts causing the failure. Be assured this is a perfect engine with NO issues. Pulled powerhead and put on stand to let buddy use mid while his was being painted and never put back on mid. Don't have a boat that is ready for a engine. Can give you a long list of references if you like. Have many people on here that will vouch for me. Thank you for your time and if you have any questions, feel free to call me. 423-304-0930

James why dont you put on bass boat central, prob get more takers than here

I hate that you lost youre job wish I still had bumble bee
that is a good deal I for someone I have seen the engine.

James, keep bumping it up, not everyone has seen it on here yet, also put it on the other forum, I would put it on craigslist also. Give it a few more days.

Thanks doc. Hate to sell but have to. Not like I can't build anothe one later. I have a few that need to be built that will take it's place. Problem ios coming up with the time. Will start on the V-6 johnson mods next week. Waiting on some digital scales to get here.

At least fome good news. Put on craigslist and sold withing hours. Guy coming tomorrow to drop off engine for me to install and do the other stuff needed for warranty. It was too good of a deal to pass up. Thanks everyone for your support. Now maybe I can pay up some bills.

A word of caution about using Craigslist, be sure you know who you are dealing with, there are thousands of shysters on there, don't ever buy or sell unless face to face, Some want to pay with cashiers checks, pay you xtra to get you to ship somewhere else, give you money for your effort, after the product is gone you find out the cashiers check is no good, always deal in cash, face to face, no checks of any kind.

I deal with CASH and in person. I know of many scams they use. Have seen some pretty smart ones too. He is bringing me his engine for me to swap and Paying $1000 Cash down and $1000 Cash when he picks up. Having to do switchboxes ($400), rebuild carbs, w/p, Ect. so it comes out to 2K for a COMPLETLY rebuilt engine parts and labor with 1 yr warranty.

Great news James emoThumbsup , or well not so great news at the same time, now ya gotta do all that over again emoDoh

When I built this one I did not have the tools needed to port them. I had planned on tearing it down to port it but thought, naw. I have 9 other blocks to build. I am already building the race engine and really didn't need it. If the guy backs out, I may know of someone else would be a good engine for.

It is. Just ask anyone who has had to have one rebuilt. Like I am throwing in the engine if he pays for parts! See you tomorrow.
