Just looked at the TVA website, and the average CFS is going to be screeming the next few days, PLUS the spill gates will be open. You wont catch this fool below Chick anytime soon.</p><h2 align="left">Predicted</h2><table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" width="390" border="1"><tbody><tr valign="middle" bgcolor="#99cccc"><td style="width: 10px; height: 47px"></td><td style="width: 89px; height: 47px"><strong class="sidebarhead-dkblue">Date[/b]</td><td style="width: 97px; height: 47px"><p class="sidebarhead-dkblue">Daily Average Inflow</p><p class="Body-3">(cubic feet per second)</p></td><td style="width: 97px; height: 47px"><p class="sidebarhead-dkblue">Midnight Elevation</p><p class="Body-3">(feet above mean sea level)</p></td><td style="width: 97px; height: 47px"><p class="sidebarhead-dkblue">Daily Average Outflow</p><p class="Body-3">(cubic feet per second)</p></td></tr><tr valign="middle" bgcolor="#d3dcec"><td style="width: 10px; height: 23px"></td><td class="Body-3" style="width: 89px; height: 23px">5/4/2009 </td><td class="Body-3" style="width: 97px; height: 23px">60,000 </td><td class="Body-3" style="width: 97px; height: 23px">683.60 </td><td class="Body-3" style="width: 97px; height: 23px">57,000 </td></tr><tr valign="middle" bgcolor="#d3dcec"><td style="width: 10px; height: 23px"></td><td class="Body-3" style="width: 89px; height: 23px">5/5/2009 </td><td class="Body-3" style="width: 97px; height: 23px">66,800 </td><td class="Body-3" style="width: 97px; height: 23px">682.90 </td><td class="Body-3" style="width: 97px; height: 23px">80,000 </td></tr><tr valign="middle" bgcolor="#d3dcec"><td style="width: 10px; height: 23px"></td><td class="Body-3" style="width: 89px; height: 23px">5/6/2009 </td><td class="Body-3" style="width: 97px; height: 23px">57,500 </td><td class="Body-3" style="width: 97px; height: 23px">682.40 </td><td class="Body-3" style="width: 97px; height: 23px">70,000 </td></tr></tbody></table>

We posted same subject at same time... great minds think alike. emoBigsmile

But hey... you can tear up a boat in a bathtub. What do you care about a few measly spill gates! emoLaugh

Thanks for the post. I was planning on heading down there tomorrow but with them running 45000 cfs I had thought better of it, but might have still went. Now that I know the gates are going to be open there is no way I'd attempt it.

Years a go when they would open the flood gates at the Nick, you could catch boat loads of catfish, I guess it washes the sediment loose off the bottom or something. You could also catch a ton of fish off the bank down below the boatramp, down around the big warning sign.

I went by the dam to take a look, and they had four gates open, and it is beating the tar out of one of the new coffer-dam walls they put up. I dont understand why they didnt run the gates further away from it. Looks like they will be replacing it. Oh well, more stimulas money wasted I guess.

I fished below Chickamauga this winter after all of that rain and got my boat hung on top of one of the big buoys out from the wing wall. This boys is staying at home. It scared the crap out of me.
